Purchase Policy
To purchase an item from Red Wing Trading Post, please send us a note by using the link below. We will be sure to verify that your item is still available, inspect its condition, reserve it for you and, by return note, provide instructions to complete your purchase along with the final total including shipping, insurance and sales tax, if applicable.
Payment
We accept money orders, cashier’s checks, PayPal and personal checks. We will ship your item as soon as we receive payment using each payment method except for personal checks. Personal checks will have to clear our bank before we ship your item, which can take up to seven days.
Inspection
We inspect each item to ship before packing it for shipment. Rest assured that when we ship an item, it is in the same condition as advertised.
Packing
We take great pride in packaging your items for shipment, being very careful to ensure that your item arrives without damage. We have never had one of our packages arrive damaged at its destination, and intend to keep our 100% record intact.
We do not charge for handling or packing supplies. If you purchase multiple items, we will try to package them together, saving you money on shipping price. We will not package items together if such a combination would endanger their safety.
Shipping
At this time, we can only ship to United States and Canadian destinations. If your shipping address is in Minnesota, we will add 6.5% state sales tax.
Shipping Insurance
We highly recommend shipping insurance on all shipments valued under one hundred dollars.
We require shipping insurance on all shipments valued at least one hundred dollars.
If one of our items is damaged in transit, we will happily work with you and the shipping carrier to resolve your insurance claim.
Returns
We do accept returns. The following are examples of returns:
- Our Responsibility:
- We shipped you the wrong item.
- We did not describe accurately the item we shipped you. We do our best to note every defect that we see. Sometimes we miss some minor defects.
- Your Responsibility:
- You decide you do not like the item you purchased.
- You decide you would rather have a different item.
We will reimburse the purchase price of the item in all cases. If the return is our responsibility, then we will also reimburse the cost of shipping the item to you.
We will not reimburse the cost of shipping insurance in any event.
The following are our requirements for returns:
- The item returned must be the same item that we shipped you, not a substitution.
- The item returned must be in the same condition as when we shipped it to you. It must not have been damaged in any way.
- Each item we ship has our identifying label on it. You must not remove this label. The returned item must still have this label on it.
- You must contact Red Wing Trading Post to let us know that you are returning the item.
- You must return the item to us within 30 days of the date we shipped it to you at the buyer’s expense.
If all of our requirements are met, then we will reimburse as specified above.
Purchasing
If you wish to purchase one or more of our items and agree to our terms, then please
fill out our

or send a note to our
Sales Manager.
Please include the following information:
- Name
- Shipping Address including zip or postal code
- Email address
- Item you wish to purchase, including the item number.
- Anything else you might care to mention.
All consigned items on Red Wing Trading Post are clearly marked as consigned items.
Payment for consigned items is just as for any other item.
However, shipping and returns must be handled with the item owner.
Red Wing Trading Post will notify both the purchaser and the owner of the item of each others contact information but will not broker shipping or returns.
