Searching Red Wing Trading Post

Using Red Wing Trading Post's searching facilities will help you find the item for which you are looking.

Red Wing Trading Post offers two different methods you can use to search the website: a basic search and an advanced search. The basic search is comprised of a single entry field that you can find at the top of each page, like this one. Simply type in the text for the item for which you are searching and either press enter or the search button.

Advanced Search

You can search the following attributes of an item:

• the item name and description
• the item's number which is assigned and used by Red Wing Trading Post to uniquely identify the item
• the item's model number
• a price range

Search Rules

• To search for a single value, simply enter the value for the specific fields in which you are interested and press the search button.
• If you enter values into more than one field, all found items will match all of the criteria.
• If you are searching for items in a particular price range, enter both your minimum and maximum price. You can enter only a minimum price or only a maximum price also, if you prefer.
• All searches are not sensitive to case. You can enter DOG or dog and both values will mean the same thing.
• If you want to search for more than one value at a time, then enter all of your values into the field separated by spaces.
• If you want to search for an exact phrase, surround the phrase by double quotation marks.

Examples

• To search for blue items:

  Enter blue in the Name and Description field and press search.

• To search for all items that are either blue or red:

  Enter blue red in the Name and Description field and press search.

• To search for all items that have a bob white quail on them:

  Enter "bob white" in the Name and Description field and press search.

• To search for all red items between $10.00 and $20.00:

  Enter red in the Name and Description field and enter 10 in the minimum price field and enter 20 in the maximum price field and press search.

• To search for a particular item by its Red Wing Trading Post item number:

  Enter the number in the Item Number field and press search.
